The Community Legal Center is seeking a law student to assist attorneys primarily with immigration and elder law cases during the fall 2015 semester. The position would involve meeting with clients, assisting with completing immigration paperwork and applications for immigration relief, accompanying attorneys to both immigration and probate court, and some administrative office tasks.
Applicants should have the ability to work 10-20 hours weekly, interest in working with non-profits, immigrants and elderly individuals, and excellent research, writing, and communication skills. Foreign language skills are preferred, but not required. This is an unpaid internship, but all hours worked would be credited toward fulfilling the student’s pro bono requirement, as well as pro bono awards as applicable.
The application deadline is July 31, 2015. To apply, email a resume, cover letter, writing sample and references to Meg Jones at email@example.com
