The Community Legal Center, Latino Memphis, and Mid-South Immigration Advocates are hosting a DACA Clinic on October 22nd, 2016 at Latino Memphis’ office (6041 Mt Moriah Rd, Memphis, TN 38115) from 12:00 – 4:00.
The Clinic will be assisting eligible children and young adults to apply for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (“DACA”). Volunteers are needed to help applicants with completing their forms, photocopying, translating, and more. Anyone is welcome to volunteer and no previous experience or language skills are required. Training for all volunteers is at noon. Lunch will be served. If you have any questions, you can contact Emily Stotts at EmilyS@clcmemphis.com. Also, PALS is in the process of securing a date for Mrs. Stotts to come to the law school to do a DACA training workshop, this workshop is expected to be held prior to October 22; when that date is secured it will be announced on the Class Facebook pages and this Blog.
