Change for Humphreys Fellowships

Notice to students applying for Humphreys Fellowships:

Because of administrative complications, the law school will not be able to re-designate Humphreys Fellowships as scholarships, as we had expected.  Accordingly, the fellowships will take the form of stipends as they have in past years. The compensation will continue to be $5,000.

What does this mean for you? The biggest difference is that you will be issued wage and tax statements for 2017 and 2018. The stipend will be paid monthly from September to April in eight equal payments of $625. Recipients will be required to complete an employee contract and provide employment documents to the Business Manager.

If you have questions, please let me know. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
