BE A WITNESS FOR THE NATIONAL TRIAL TEAM THIS WEEKEND – FINAL CHANCE BEFORE REGIONALS!
As it prepares for the upcoming National Trial Competition, the Law School’s National Trial Team is in need of witnesses for its final practice trials this weekend (February 13th and 14th). The practice trials are held in the Historic Courtroom and will start with witness prep at 1:15 p.m. each day.
In addition to helping the National Trial Team ready for competition, participation as a witness is a wonderful introduction to and/or refresher in oral advocacy, trial practice and procedure, and the rules of evidence. This year’s case, Fortenberry v. Thompson, involves comparative negligence claims arising out of a airplane crash that killed the plaintiff’s husband. The complete case file can be found here: http://www.tyla.org/tyla/assets/File/NTC%202016%20Regional%20Problem.pdf.
If you are interested in assisting the Trial Team as a witness, or otherwise have any questions, please contact Professor Schaffzin (firstname.lastname@example.org or 215.380.0969) as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
